A Beginning

A year past graduation and there's nothing on my plate.

Metaphorically, of course.

Thinking back on this past year, my baking repertoire has grown a lot. I've dabbled more in pâtisserie and moved away from more "Midwestern" staples. The technical challenge of macarons, for example, is so welcome. It takes problem solving skills, practice, patience, and a bit of luck to get feet on macarons. I forget how competitive I am until I'm head to head with a finicky recipe and covered in flour.

I'm going to try and post as frequently as possible. Initially I planned to migrate some posts over from an old blog, but I think they'd be out of place. Fresh content for a fresh blog, right?
